Gaynor's background spans over 35 years in healthcare and community service industries to include fifteen years as a trainer and assessor of aged care and disability support workers. I have extensive experience with online and classroom training in the facilitation of Certificate III Individual Support and Certificate IVs in Ageing Support and Disability training packages. I have an in-depth knowledge of the new approach to the provision of care required for entry level staff in the aged care and disability services sectors relevant to the new model of Consumer Direct Care and National Disability Insurance Scheme. Throughout my career, I have facilitated and delivered nationally accredited training packages. I have consulted on industry panels to assist with the recommendations of course content with the objective of meeting the required new changes necessary for essential knowledge and skills to remain relevant to industry training needs. My current industry skills have been maintained from providing direct care services as an AIN (Assistant in Nursing), disability support worker and community care coordinator. I am a certified practitioner in the 'Spark of Life' methodology to dementia care in the world recognised strategic approach to engage with persons living with dementia and the management of behaviours of concern.
