Authentic Aboriginal Art We pay the artist an upfront amount and then we give them a percentage of the sale. All the artist are friends and we show them where we have the art listed and for how much.. we also donate a percentage to ALECOMM a not for profit charity that provides food bank to the local communities in and around Alice Springs, ALECOMM also provides clothing, laddie's cosmetics and toiletries through a joint venture with other charities based in Melbourne and Darwin. We basically cover the advertising and the freight charges. This is not a full time position for me, more a way of helping our friends, so they get what they ask and are not selling their art to so called art galleries at low prices, that are then marked up astronomically.
